  1. I love Audrey Hepburns Eye Liner. I wear this very often when I'm going out. I keep wearing my eyeliner like Audrey because I always get compliments as my eyes look a lot like hers do :)

  2. I adore a dark smokey eye! Even though it finds its' place best for an evening look, I'm one of those rare people who will wear even the darkest smokey during the day!

  3. I usually use a smudgy black eyeliner to draw the outer V and extend it to the upper lashline and into the crease - then I just fill in the area on my lid with a matte tan colour for a wearable smokey eye :D

  12. My tip for smoky eye: blend, blend, blend, blend, and when you think it is already blended, keep going on for a little more time! ;)

  13. My secret to a smoky eye look is to blend a lot and to have a smudged eye liner on top and a gorgeous light color on the inner corner! Happy Xmas!

  14. My secret for my smoky eye is to start at the crease! I use to always start with an allover lid color, but if I start with my darker crease color it leaves more room for mistakes. I love to rock the brown smoky look for my blue eyes!

  15. My secret to get a smoky eye is to blend a dark eye pencil as a base, then put little layers of eyeshadow on it until i get the perfect result. Less is better :)

  16. My best tip for a smokey eye is to extend the outer corner up above the crease a bit to create more of a cat eye shape. I find it much more flattering on my almondy eye shape than the usual rounded smokey eye. x

  17. In my oppinion a dark base is a must when it comes to doing a smokey eye. I usually use black and when properly blended, that enhances the colour so much. Also I define the shape of the shadow beforehand by using the base and I find that very useful. I guess there's nothing secret about these tips though. :D Also, my favourite look is a purple smokey eye.

  18. I think the base is a very important part with a smoky eye :) I usually use my UDPP and a dark grey eyeshadow on top of that. I really love dark green smoky eye! :)

Thanks for this giveaway Jasmine :)

  22. I don't tend to do a smokey eye that often but when i do i find the best thing for me is to apply just a little color and blend and then add more color and blend and repeat until i get the look i want :)
It is so nice of you to do these giveaways. Thank you so much <3

  23. I also love smokey eyes and I use cover stick from elf to fix my eyshadows! it works really good, even better than the primer of the 1'50 line! (at least on me) then I choose the colous (brown or greys for a daily look but I like a ultra black smokey eyes when I go out at night!) and blend blend blend ^^

  24. Hey Jasmine!
Since I have dark under eye cirlces it makes it very hard for me to pull of the smokey eye look without looking like I have racoon eyes.
So in order to prevent that, I like to put tape on the sides of my eyes, then applying my brown to dark brown eye shadows in the smokey eye appearance. After I take off the tape, I apply concealer and blend any rough edges.
It works great all the time!
Thansk for the give away :)

  25. Hey Jasmin
Love this contest and this gift !! For me the secret of a good smokey is a good dark dark base that we can blend, and then put powder eyeshow on to fix it; the second is to find the exactly form for each eye (its more difficult lol)
Thx for all those contests you make for us ,
    Love from Paris

  28. Hiya.
I normally use a dark smokey when I go out at night, during the day I might just use one eye-shadow, or do a day smokey eye, with lighter colours.
But I guess what it helps with a good smokey eye, is a good blending brush, and blend blnd blend, pratice makes it perfect. ^^

  29. For a good smokey eye I feel its necessary to have a good base, a black or gray one. Also, a lot of blending is necessary!

    ReplyDelete
  30. My tip for a good smokey eye is to use brown since a black smokey eye doesn't suit me. I also only use a dark color half way up the lid from the lash line. This makes a smokey eye much more wearable!

    ReplyDelete
  31. hiiii...i always line the whole lid with a soft black penceil just to the crease and then blend, blend blend..i think would use a pigment, or maybe something like woodinked on the lid...the pencil works as a great base..then lashings of black pencil in upper and lower water line...pop on lashes and im always smoked up..xxxx

  40. I think you are so pretty and I love your make up looks... my tip for smoky eyes would be " aply eyeliner and smudge it with a brush" it gives it a beautyfull smoky look

    ReplyDelete
  41. I think blending the colours really well is crucial for a smokey eye.
I also like playing with eyeliner a bit to perfect the look. When I'm going for a dark smokey I tend to wing it out a bit in the outer corners. When I'm doing a lighter smokey eye I only apply a bit of liner on the lashlines and don't go into the corners. That really opens your eyes and makes them look bigger.

  42. Thank you for all your giweaways!

No tips from me, as I actually started doing make-up about two months ago, so I am still more of a learner than someone to give advice :)

  43. Hi! thank you so much for the giveaway! :)

My tip is blending! I think it's so important to blend everything :)

    The kit looks gorgeous!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I think to create smokey eyes with different colors, it is best to smudge the eyeliner, it will create the smokiness for your eyes. And it would be nicer if you add a darkest color to the outer V and blend very well. It will add the depth into your eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  45. As many before me, I would say a LOT of blending. But, I do another thing that keeps me from extending too much my eyeshadow and then having a too dramatic smokey eye : tape ! I measure from corner of my nose, corner of my eye, point of my brow, and then I put tape from my eye corner to my brow's point (I prefer to use kind of papery surgical type of tape, so it won't damage foundation, and it's not painful to remove). Then I do my smokey eye, remove the tape, and blend the edges, so they won't be too sharp. Like that, my smokey is always perfect !

    ReplyDelete
  46. My tip is to always use an eyeshadow primer, I like the too faced shadow insurance. Otherwise, if you don't use a primer your lovely smoky shadows are going to crease and fade, losing all its lovelyness, haha!
    thanks for the giveaway!! :D
