A bit of fun with Jewel Tones

Just a quick look today, totally random and inspired by jewel tones of blue and green. Being bright doesn't mean wearing light colours. I personally can't carry off light eye shadow which is why my looks are often darker. Using jewel tones and vibrant darker colours gives me a lift without looking washed out with pale colours.

Products used:

The Body Shop Eye Pencil in Bright Blue* it's a bit patchy as an eye shadow and will crease even with a primer, using an eye transformer over the top will intensify and set it.
Marks and Spencers Turquoise Mascara* Yes Turquoise and it really shows up too!
Obsessed Minerals e/s in Serenity*
Light Blue Glitter from Sallys (which as I found doesn't like to stick to eye shadow!)
White e/s from a random quad.

Items marked with * were sent to me for review, I am not paid to endorse those brands.

  1. Wow very elegant indeed :) I usually cannot pull off darker eyeshadows but they look great on you! I love how you incorporated blue and green in one look.

  3. Hey,
I love the bluey one very funky. I think blue looks great with brown eyes. Also I have recently picked up some M&S eyeshadows myself and they are not too bad actaully. Have to admit I wasnt expecting them to be.

Anyway take care and hoep you are well.
