5 Products I don't want to live without!

Urban Decay Primer Potion
Who doesn't use this and think it's brilliant? For quick, no fuss every day looks that don't crease, this is the tube I reach for. It does make blending more tricky because shadows stick fast. I get over this by using a neutral beige (such as MAC Brule) over the lid and then add colour over the top. This makes blending much easier!

MAC Black Tied
For super quick and slightly sparkly smokey eyes, this is the business. I found this at a discount make up store on my travels. I was actually looking for a sandwich...

MAC Paintpot in Indianwood
Looks gorgeous on its own or with shadow. The basis for all great lasting and glamorous looks for me is a paint pot. I haven't found anything which has the same texture or lasting finish. However it does make my eye lids look a bit wrinkly. At 33, I don't need this!

The Body Shop Vanilla Body Lotion
Heaven in a bottle and the secret to successful first dates. I will say no more, but let you discover it for yourself. Being married, I obviously think I should pass on this secret to you single gals.

Dermalogica Precleanse
I ran out of Karin Herzog cleanser :( so I have gone back to Precleanse. I love cleansing oils and the smell of this one is just divine. It makes taking make up off a breeze specially if you're really tired! It's great for facial massage too. Teamed up with a cotton muslin cloth for great exfoliation, it's magic!

So there's my five products I don't want to live without! Which are yours?

  1. I really enjoyed this post. thank you. I am 32 and share your feelings about paintpots but like you I haven't found anything that grabs on to the shadow like a p/p. I love Indianwood on its on on the lid as well. My go to is Soft ochre (my 1st must have).

2- MAC Gold Mode pigment. If in a pinch time wise, I can just throw this all over the lid and be good to go. It's beautiful.

3- Maybelline Dream Matte pressed powder. Amazing.

4- MAC Teddy eyeliner (perfect brown liner, it's gorgeous)

5- l'Oreal Infallible concealer stick. If I could only keep one makeup item, this would be it. I can't live without my concealer...I blame that on my 4 girls and the little sleep I get lol

  5. Great post!!I'll second you on the Body Shop Vanilla range its divine!

    Stuff i always have -
*St Ives Apricot Scrub. The only scrub that makes my skin feel like silk afterwards!
*Carmex lip balm - best one out there!
*Sleek eyeliner gel pots - i find the MAC paintpots (i have mnossscape) still end up all creased on my eyelids (damn oily eyelids) but if i prime my lids with this stuff the shadow never budges! Also really intensifies dark colours if i use Dominatrix as a base.
Not tried Urban Decay primer but at the moment im loving Illamasqua's Matt primer!

  8. Hi :)
I just came back from MAC where I got the Indianwood paint pot! The colour is beautiful, I'm sure I'll end up using it every single day because I usually wear browns, golds or bronze shadows. It felt dry when I tried it on my hand so I'm a bit afraid (it is my first paint pot) but I can't wait to try it. Has it happened to you or is it supposed to be dry?

    I can't live without:
1-Rimmel mascara (right now it's glam eyes lash flirt)
2-Coastal Scents camo quad in medium (I have black undereye circles of DEATH)
3-Body Shop shea butter lip balm (best one ever)
    4-Maybelline foundation
5-NYX cream blush in Tea rose
